2 stars (videostudio) - This program is bad. It has ok editing features but after i captured something and said stop capturing, the program did not let me capture more but only edit. Don't use this program. Period. 1 stars (bad product) - well i have written several previous reviews, however i believe they were not posted because of my opinions on the creators blood-alchol level when this was dreamed up. However now im trying to make a very calm review. This product is not intuitive at all. Especially if you have previously used Apple iMovie. However there is a much better alternative to this, Power Director 3. I will not take the 30mins to write such a thorough trashing of this product but believe me, don't get this product. 5 stars (You can't beat it for the price) - Does exactly what it's supposed to. Some complain of a steep learning curve - I watched their online tutorials before starting, and it was pretty easy. Captures sharp-looking video from my Sony MiniDV camcorder via IEEE1394. I can edit all my clips together, insert titles, voice-over track, scene transition effects and burn a DVD with menu, all just with mouse clicks. Hasn't crashed yet. My only complaint is that the controls for tweaking the audio levels on the main video track are very fiddly, and the user guide is a bit sparse on exactly how this aspect is supposed to work. ... 2 stars (Crash on me three times) - I ordered it, then Download the trial version on Ulead website. Atfer it crashed three times I decided to return the product. Other then that it was easy and straight forward to use. 5 stars (Fantasic Product - Very Easy To Use) - I downloaded a trial of this product about 30 days ago and the trial is about to expire. In those thirty days I went from knowing nothing about video editing to producing full projects and the ensuing DVD. This product is so easy to understand - with minimal amount of learning. I have tried several others, but none come close if you are not an experienced video editor. I guess the last thing I need to figure out is which formats work best, although I have transferred several analog vidoes and created voice dubbed DVD's using the DVD/Mpeg formats. I am very pleased with the end result. The price of this item makes it all very worthwhile. Dowmload the trial and use it for a month (go to the Ulead website). Since I am on my last day of the trial, I plan to purchase this item from Amazon, since they now have it even cheaper than the trial version ($79.99 vs $99.99). I worked with files that were so huge (1/2 GB to 1 GB), I was sure that they would crash the program - but no. I have not experienced any techincal problems whatsoever during the 30 day trial. I am very pleased with an umpire instuctional video that this program has allowed me to produce - with the end result being a very professional looking DVD. I have also transferred all of my old VHS family tapes and VHS-C camcorder tapes into digital format, thanks, in part, to this program. Added: Folks, if this program is crashing on you, I have to believe that it's because you need more RAM or a higher speed CPU. I worked with a 5 GB video file - and have absolutely no problems. If you are going to video edit - you need to have plenty of RAM. My computer is a Dell Dimension 8400 with a 3.2 Ghz CPU and I have 1 GB of RAM. I have absolute...
