4 stars (Great sequel) - EA have done a bang up job with Burnout Revenge. Although gameplay has hasn't changed that much and only minor improvemnts were made this is nothing short of spectacular. I would have to give this 4.5 out of 5 2 thumbs up all the way 4 stars (One of helluva racer) - First things first, the Burnout series has always been about one thing: the crashes. Not the actual game crashing (though it has occured twice ironnically) but the cars in the game grinding and shunting against one another. There are five different racing events which include race, eliminator, road rage, crash, and traffic attack. Race and Crash are what I digged the most, the high adrenaline and exhilirating action of Race is unbelieveable. Cars can top 209 mph, with nice blur effects thrown in. This game allowes you to ram other non-racing cars into your oppenents. The game is easier than Burnout 3 but the tracks are much better and prettier looking. Crash mode is a Burnout series trademark, the basis is to get your car ot cause the biggest pile-up as possible, and sometimes you have to work around which spot to hit and such, then afterowrds you are awarded a medal depending on how much vehicle damage you did. And crashbreakers are back and badder than ever. In Burnout 3, you could only use them in Crash, now they are available in all the other modes (After reaching a certain rank). Crashbreakers are when you explode your car much like a kamikaze to destroy oppenents or cause more vehicle damage in Crash mode. Speed plays a major part in this game, you have boost bar which you can increase or fill up by doing certain "risks". Multiplayer for the Burnout series was never intersting nor any fun so stick with the single player aspect of the game. This game receives 4 stars overall for being glitchy at times and it won't take too long to reach the "Elite" rank. Still, this thing is hard to put down once you get into it. 4 stars (Best Burnout Yet) - With a name like Burnout Reven... 4 stars (Lightsaber combat as it should be!) - For those of you waiting for a GOOD lightsaber simulation, look no futher! Revenge of the Sith suceeds wonderfully. Its kind of like Obi-Wan, except a whole lot better, making the gameplay something like Return of the King. With fast combos and cool force powers, this game is a good buy. My only problem with it is that is is slightly short and lacks a decent Co-Op mode. Other than that, however, this game is great and makes a worthy companion to the movie. 5 stars (Awesome) - Great game, they mixed cut scenes from the movie for a game that flowed well, played well, and had some nice surprises. As a Star Wars fan I was thoroughly impressed. 5 stars (A True Tribute to the Movie & Star Wars in general.) - The playability of this game is amazing. The duels truly and the player control during, truly captures the essence of fighting as a Jedi in virtual reality. You can force throw objects at opponents then block their attacks, and then quickly strike. It truly gives the player the oppurtunity to be part of the movie's action. You can tell that true lovers of star wars made the game from its great playability for one, but also by giving us fants the ability to play as Obi-Wan versus Anakin in Epi. III, then as Darth Vader vs. Old Obi-Wan in the death star from Epi. IV. Great game and a definite interactive collectible for any star wars fan!!! ... 5 stars ( PS2 Burnout Revenge ) - I bought this game for my grandson. He is 9 years old. He enjoys this game very much. 4 stars (Different...which can be good or bad.) - I LOVED Burnout 3. So when I heard that they were making Burnout Revenge I was extremely excited. After months of anticipation I finally got a chance to play BR hoping it would bring the same hours of vehicular mayhem as Burnout 3. It turned out that what BR offered was a few changes for the better and a few that I don't really like. First I'll talk about the good stuff. The graphics are beautiful! I didn't think they could do much better than B3 but they have. They tracks are insanely complicated with shortcuts and alternate paths everywhere. This really makes it so that the tracks never get too old because you can always find new ways to drive. The crash junctions are also incredibly laid out. Most of them require catching huge air and landing in or near a busy intersection. Most of them also have two or three different levels of highway so when you explode you can manuver your car to fall on the unsuspecting drivers below. The new traffic checking feature gives kind of mixed results for me. On the one hand it is great to plow into a van from behind and send it flying into your opponent but on the other hand it kind of takes away from the twitch racing where you had to be on your gaurd and have quick reflexes. When the subtitle to BR is Battle Racing Ignited you can tell its going to focus more on the battling aspect. I think that the traffic checking does just that, giving you yet another way to take our your opponent. Now for things things I'm not too crazy about. You can't do a single event like in B3. Some days I just wanna come home and take out my agression with some road rage but now I have to go into the world tour and find a road rage event instead of simply choosing a single event from the title screen. Thats just a little frustrating and something I can learn to deal w... 5 stars (Good Game.) - This is a pretty good game so far, i bought it two days ago, but i cant get past the first level...all of a sudden this droid plane comes and drops these little bomb things that explode and im not sure how u beat that. [...] Overall, its a rely good game. 4 stars (Fun!) - This is a fun game! And I like how you can be the characters from the movie, and battle where they did! The only bad thing is that they didn't use the real voices for the characters. 4 stars (The Review by a 12-year old gamer) - This game is like any other game that is based on a movie. Basically same storyline, but they add on the story for more game play. They have a large variety of enemies and the Jedi Fighting concept is pretty neat; i.e.you can block or you can counter attack. The cool thing is that Anakin and Obi Wan have their own separate paths and attacks, and each one has their own secret bonus levels (hint hint). The only problem is that the levels become repetitive and the difficulty setting is that you start with less life. Overall it's a good game. ... 5 stars (Great Game - See the movie first) - To anyone that's seen the movie and thinking about buying this game - buy it. If you haven't seen the movie - don't buy it. The only reason you have to see the movie before you buy this game is because the game completely gives away the movie. It's just like watching the movie on your DS. Other than that the game is perfect. Graphics: Outstanding graphics for a DS game. I've seen some of the other games for DS and their graphics aren't nearly as good as these. Multiplayer mode (the place where you fly ships) looks almost as good as a PSP game, except whan you blow up, then it looks it was from a coloring book. Controls: Very basic, very easy. Sometimes I might try to block a low attack with L down and accidently hit R down and choke him to death, but who cares. Starship controls are complicated, I changed mine the first time I played it. Multiplayer: Awesome, sort of. You can only play multiplayer with starships which is why its only sort of awesome. I've always wanted to duel my friend and show him I'm just as good with a lightsaber as I am with a starship, but that's why we have PS2. My biggest advise is that you see the movie before you buy the game. 5 stars (Cool!) - I have never played this game, but I think it is cool. I read the reviews on it and I was very impressed. I really want this game for Christmas or my Birthday. Check out my list on my Listmania thingy. (This is my 4th time reviewing something so please, bear with me:^) M.B. 5 stars (This is such a good game!) - This game is so fun. One of the best things is how good the graphics are on the starfighter levels. The 3D quality is as good as the N64's. The only flaw is that the missions where you are a jedi aren't that good looking. Overall this game is definantly worth buying for the DS. ... 4 stars (Soul Robber!) - If you are a fan of the movie, then this game is for you. The storyline sticks to the movie and you'll see all of the main characters pop up at one point or another. Gameplay is fun and can be challenging at times with a mixture of fighting and puzzle solving. The game is straightforward and flows smoothly from one scenario to the next. There are a few flaws in the game though, that really detract from the gameplay overall. The music, also (for the most part) from the movie, can be a bit repetitive as can the character comments. The camera is fixed so you are not able to look around, which can be a bit frustrating at times, especially when the scenery is blocking the action. You can agitate enemies to gain bonus points by slapping the soul robber (the main weapon) to the ground, this is a huge flaw because the camera zooms in on Jack and you can't see anything around him, which usually leads to a swipe or two from an enemy. Use of the soul robber also ilicits an announcement of "Soul Robber!" EVERY SINGLE TIME you use it, which is just stupid if you ask me and quite irritating. Also, the soul robber could have some more combo attacks since it is the weapon of choice throughout the game. The other character costumes, which come with other powers are used primarily for specific tasks and the soul robber can't be used with either alternate character form so you're stuck flame throwing (until your red souls quickly run out) or tossing presents and screeching "Merry Christmas" at everyone, which also has limited effect. The graphics are good but can be grainy in spots. The voice work is excellent, with most of the original cast from the movie lending a hand. Being familiar with the original movie pays off with some trivia games thrown into the puzzle mix. Overall, it is a good game that seems well thought out and true to the original movie. 5 stars (hi again) - im the one who wrote the we will see oogie fall review and you just ... 3 stars (Could and should have been better) - With all the tie-in's and such for the release of the third Star Wars prequel, one would figure that maybe the folks at LucasArts would have put more time into making the video game based soley on the movie, but then again, this is LucasArts we're talking about here, and they've turned out far more misses with the Star Wars license than hits over the years. Revenge of the Sith follows the film's storyline almost exactly, while the graphics look great, and even the actors from the film provide the voices for their characters. You can play as Obi-Wan or Anakin and battle your way through the game on single player or co-op, or you can duel it out with various Star Wars characters, including ones that can be unlocked. However, the story mode of the game is really nothing more than a simple hack & slasher at heart, and fighting hordes of droids and soldiers becomes old real quick. The sound effects are nicely done, as is the score used from the film, but the voice acting is surprisingly stiff, and the one-liners are annoying and actually kind of un-Jedi like. Not to mention that the story mode is pretty short as well, and the final battle between Obi-Wan and Anakin will be there before you know it. The duel mode is nice, and it suggests that if LucasArts was serious about a Star Wars fighting game (such as a previous reviewer stated, like Soul Calibur) that they could make something really special (not like that horrible PS1 Star Wars fighting game, Knights of the Teras Kasi). All in all, Revenge of the Sith isn't a bad game at all, and it's definitely worth playing for Star Wars fanboys, but don't expect anything great from it. 5 stars (Star Wars Episode III) - The Star Wars III the game is awesome. It's so cool when you fight Dooko, Master Windew and those other guys are so fun. The graphics are good! If you're looking for a really good action game I would take this game. If you like challenging and a game you can ...
