5 stars (Great idea book) - I went shopping for a sewing desk for my Viking Husqvarna & my Babylock serger & was surprised to find a table/cabinet/desk for both was over $1,000. This book offers some cost-effective solutions for sewing storage/workplace options & gives guidelines for sewing ergonomics. Great suggestions are also offered for storing fabric, buttons, thread, etc. Great book. 5 stars (Just What the Dr. Ordered) - This book gave me every piece of information I was seeking to design a sewing room from design arrangements to the actual height & dimensions a work surface should have. This book took into consideration all types of sewing one might do as well as tips for convenience should one not have the luxury of a separate sewing space. Specific storage suggestions and directions for building such things as thread racks were very timely for me.
