2 stars (Splendid graphics, but...) - Ok, I'll start with the graphics. I have high end PC (AMD 64-bit 3500+, Radeon X800XT 256mb, S-ATA Western Digital, 2 GB RAM) and there were no troubles with running the game at highest settings. The game is really beautiful - there are flying birds, crocodiles, the terrain is funny when you zoom on it. But for me this is the only good thing in the game. For example, why the **** you need that animated traveling steam engine? It does not change anything in the game. Only increases the lag in the game... You have many nations to choose from, but the final result is the same upgrades, almost the same units. I and one mate of me played the game over the LAN. He was with the Russians, me with the English guys. Practically, the only difference was that the Russians speak in Russian... I don't think that having the home town is big advantage. About the maps - I did not find random generated maps, which for me is big issue. I want to play every time on different maps. This gives me much more fun than to play on a map that I already know. And finally, when I wanted to uninstall the game it took me a lot of time just waiting to initialize uninstalling process. The whole process took about 3 minutes! In general the game lost the feeling of its predecessors. I don't feel it like AoE II. BTW, the same is with the EA II. For me much better are AoE II and the first EA. So, I'm going to sell my copy of AoE III and keep playing Empires Dawn of the Modern World. 4 stars (Not bad at all!) - I was a little antsy about picking up this title. A lot of the reviews are extremely mixed and offered up a wide variety of pros and cons for this game. I became a hard boiled fan of AOE1 way back when it first came out and you'd often find me facing off with friends via LAN while my Phonecian war elephants ran amok through their ranks. AOE2 was even better, allowing better tactics for your infantry and cavalry as well as great seige equipment and castles. So ... 4 stars (Techin' HOT!) - Helps me keep my finances on track! I can keep track of the people that borrows my money too!! This software is cool and hot!. If you're having probs with your finances, you should get it becuase you can exactly where most of your money goes. What I love is it helps you with your taxes at the end of the year also can help you plan your taxes if you want to get a certain amount of returns. I haven't played with it thoroughly to give it 5 stars plus I just got an error on it a couple of weeks ago but haven't receive the error since. I totally recommend all my friends and family to get this software. 1 stars (Money 2006 Premium) - Have used Money for several years and recently upgraded from Money 2003. The data conversion appeared to go well, but the program "lost" several reporting functions. The graphics and "reset" buttons on the report customization menus are grayed out. However, graphics in the 'Monthly Report" and in the lifetime planner work fine. MS suggestion was to create a new file and then export each account individually to the new file. With 125+ accounts that would be absurd. I did set up a small trial file with some minimal data and found all graphics functional. I still prefer the 2003 version but cannot go back now. 4 stars (MS Money 2006 has some good new features) - This update includes a sidebar to link to program features, making easier access to everything. There are also more vendors & advertisements contracted with Microsoft willing to charge you money for their services, though some are free. The one bad feature is that MS no longer provides an option to work offline. Considering that this program involves personal finances, the user should have this option. ... 1 stars (stupid and ridiculous) - why? cause it chokes up PROCESSING and RAM that's why! its full of bugs and freezes frequently. [...] if you want stability get win2000. its ridiculous how they keep releasing new operating systems every year. XP = Xtra Problem. 5 stars (WindowsXPHomeSP2) - I had WindowsME, but something went wrong with my computer and it wasn't recognizing drivers for stuff so I got XP and that fixed all that because XP has all the drivers you need already included in it. 4 stars (No Surprises) - Upgraded from Win 98 on laptop with no problems except for conflict with wireless module. ... 4 stars (Comentarios sobre MS Streets and Trips 2005) - Es un buen software que hace m??s sencilla la busqueda de direcciones en USA, as?# como tambi?#n de comercios, bancos, aeropuertos... genera rutas y trayectos y me parece bueno. 4 stars ( Microsoft Streets and Trips 2005 Review) - Used together with Google Earth, you'll never be lost. Needs 3-D realism as this is the future of maps and GPS. And imagery will be read on the windshield without obscuring view of traffic. 5 stars (Excellent) - I travel quite a bit and the maps are handy to have on the laptop or in looking up directions prior. Personally I like to be able to look up the map itself and decide how to get there myself (therefore I do not use the programs directions feature). Maps seem accurate and up to date. The program locates places quickly. ... 2 stars (Bitterly disappointed) - Microsoft have had years to get the Encarta interface right, and they still can't manage it. By now we can be sure of their strategy: deliberately build in imperfections and slyly *remove* existing functionality in order to give them something to improve in future editions, without which improvements they will have no product to market every year. Every year I look for basic improvements which are never there. - The homepage now has a huge picture of a white sea anemone type creature. A high quality image, but I don't want to see it every darn time! Surely Microsoft would realise that you can't please everyone all the time when it comes to images (desktop wallpapers, screensavers, etc) so why would they palm this thing off on us...?? We cannot get rid of it. Imagine if the background image could change randomly every time using pictures from the encyclopedia. That would have been interesting. Microsoft are just not thinking. - On the homepage there is a large green information balloon pointing to the search bar. Isn't everyone sick of this sort of patronisation? The first time you see it the balloon performs its function, thereafter it is just annoying. My instinct is to immediately get rid of it (shouting "Alright, I'm not an idiot!") but I can't! - The only other feature on the homepage is a dull list of subject items on the left, which takes us into a boring spiral of menu choices resulting in a highly selective set of (often disappointing) results. I tried this once and will never use it again. You won't either. - There is still an almost complete lack of options available for customising Encarta. Certainly no improvement here at all over previous years. What on earth have all those programmers in that huge building in Seattle been doing all this time? - There has been no updating of the Atlas maps, no new roads or improved accuracy. That would have been a reasonable step forward, but Microsoft seems to have left t... 2 stars (Some features expire in 2 years) - Decent interface, nice product overall, if you can stand the in your face advertising they have in the program for 3rd party advertisers. I can't believe I PAID to see spam. The downloads from credit cards are nice, but Microsoft announced that the downloads expire after 2 years. This has been happening since Money 2003. Money 2002 is the only one that doesn't have the credit card / bank statement downloads expire after 2 years. Google Money 2006 (in groups) to get other opinions. Oh, and if you're on the paranoid side, don't use passport. A friend was on tech support at MS and they had him turn on passport and they were able to see all of his account information over the net. I don't know how that works but its a little scary if you ask me. 4 stars (Good Solid Product) - I liked the product a lot, it is a major improvement from the 2000 version I had previously. The online service is very nice. However, not every bank is linked to money directly, so you might have to download the file into money. Very quick loading up the application. Overall a very solid application. 4 stars (Nice software could be more) - I recently upgraded from Money 2003. I was pleasantly suprised with the ability of downloading transactions for all credit card , bank and investment accounts. So all you have to do is check the info downloaded daily weekly whenever you want. Had a little trouble with one investment account but overall was easy to setup. This is real nice for those of us who are not very fast on the keyboard. Was hoping to get a product to help with retirement planning but after reviewing found it to be real weak in this area. ... 5 stars (SQL Server 2000) - Price was excellent and product was in stock. Used expedited shipping and received my boxed product very quickly. All instruction manuals, codes, etc. in tact. 5 stars (Really worth the money) - I have been fighting with "FREE" tools, and this is the best $44 dollar investment I could have made. It makes working with the (MSDE) Microsoft Desktop SQL Engine very quick. 5 stars (SQL does work on Windows XP) - This Devloper edition is running great on my Windows XP machine with SP2. I have no problems at all with it. It is feature rich and is restircted to a testing enviroment as opposed to a produciton enviroment. Well worth the money! If you need free, Microsoft has other SQL alternatives such as MSDE SQL desktop engine and a downloadble fully functional SQL Express 2005 verison of CTP (community Technology Preview) So many reasons to convert from Sybase there is not room here to list them. ... 2 stars (Not quite mature yet - someday maybe) - I was rather unimpressed by the Microsoft SBA, and have decided to return it to MS. It does not allow shipping weights on items!? All of the Add-ins that people on here are raving about, are far more expensive than you can get elseware if you look around. It seems that MS needs to make a commitment to this software to make it better than the rest, or it is just another MS app for MS fans. Microsoft programmers will love it, as will people with a high level of MS office integration on hand, as the import/export to excel is nice. Retailers can find better solutions if they look for them. We have decided to go with sql-ledger instead, its 20 times faster on the same machine, integrates with our website with the same amount of programming, and free for unlimited users! 5 stars (Great features, nice price) - I've just started working with SBA and am impressed with some of the features. As a long time QuickBooks user, I have always wanted to have a contact management software program to integrate with QuickBooks. I just didn't want to spend the 60 to 100 dollars and have an add-in that will not work when QuickBooks introduces a new version. Along comes SBA, and it fully integrates with Outlook with Business Contact Manager. Since I already use Outlook, no problem. In addition, this program has different price level capability, which is nice. It also allows a discount to be applied without having to create a Discount account in the chart of accounts. Sharing is easier than QuickBooks. You won't receive the message that SBA must be in single user mode to run some task (making it necessary for all other users to exit QuickBooks). An SDK (Software Development Kit) is available for downloading at no charge, making it easy to program using VB.net. Invoices can be created in Word, almost all reports can be exported to Excel, and most built-in reports are fine for daily use. You can import QuickBooks data, but you'll need ver... 5 stars (The Best Database Management System Money Can Buy) - Don't take my word for it, I'm biased. Check out the independent performance and price/performance figures at the Transaction Processing Council's site, www.tpc.org. SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition simply blows the competition out of the water. For both performance and price, no other solution makes business or technical sense on the Windows platform. I've used this product in production and development since the beta 1 release (that's how stable it is, even then) back in mid-December 1999, and I can only say that it is reliable, very, very fast, highly scalable and easy to administer. Plus, independent productivity assessments have shown it is 3-4 times faster to get something done in SQL Server than it's nearest rival. That's a lot of consultancy bills saved! I've been a Senior DBA/Software Project Manager for seven years now, and I'd not even consider another relational database system now, because nothing gets even close. A mature product which gets better with every release. Recommended. 5 stars (OLAP functions rock) - The data mining is really cool for data warehousing. No one else has this stuff right now. 1 stars (terrible) - this product is terrible. the studio graphical tools are very poor and smp support is not so good. ...
