5 stars (angles and demons) - The story talks about Brilliant physicist Leonardo Vetra, who was attempting to use science to prove the existence of God, has been murdered; his eyes plucked out and the society's ancient symbol branded upon his chest. His final discovery, anti-matter, the most powerful and dangerous energy source known to man, has disappeared. Langdon and Vittoria, Vetra's daughter, embark on a frantic hunt through Rome, following a 400-year-old trail to the lair of the Illuminati, to prevent the incineration of civilization. Dan Brown is quite a talent man. This novel is very interesting and exciting. There is a mystery and suspense. It shows comparison between religion and science, as to the relationship between the two supposedly opposing positions. The Illuminati and antimatter are amazing. I strongly believe that you might fall in love with this novel and refuse to stop reading it. Finally, I am looking forward to reading next novel. 5 stars (the Angels have it) - Like millions of people I read THE DA VINCI CODE and loved it so thought I would try ANGELS AND DEMONS. It's a book about secret brotherhoods, religion and dark assassins. Once again the central character is Robert Langdon. It's a brilliant read. ALSO if you like religious thrillers, I highly recommend STEALING FROM ANGELS by Brian Dullaghan. I would say these are my best two books for 2005. 5 stars (Incredible Read!) - This, along with The da Vinci Code, is one of my new favorite books. It follows Robert Langdon on the trail of a killer and a madman threatening to use a deadly weapon to blow up Vatican City. Dan Brown is an amazing suspense/thriller/mystery author and I'm looking forward to The Solomon Key. While I'm not sure when that'll be coming out, I'm looking forward to the da Vinci Code movie (starring Tom Hanks) and I'm planning on reading more of Brown's books. This book is highly recommended. If you've read The da Vinci Code, you may find yourself enjoying this on... 4 stars (Quite good.) - This CDrom is quite good and I would have given it 5 stars if my toddler had been thrilled with it... which he wasn't. He was mildly interested. Perhaps at almost 3 years of age he is too young. On the other hand, as a teacher I was very impressed with this CDrom. It is very thorough and I have no doubt that if a child were to proceed through the games, winning stars for each level, their skills would be dramatically improved. It seemed entertaining to me, but I'm 43 - not the suggested 4 - 8 years old. 5 stars (Great product loads of fun!) - I bought this for my two boys ages 4 and 6. They can't sit still but do for this phonics software. They love the learning games and don't realize they are really learning. I purchased this to help them with their speech, one is severly delayed and the other not so much. The words and pronounciation are very very clear and easily understood. Simple directions and easy to follow. Starts off easy but gets harder for my older child. Best of all they are learning to read and practicing speech. Also has sight words game great for school age children and early readers. 5 stars (Very nice software, my son loves it) - For money, this 2 cds set software is really a nice deal. I had hard time to talk about phonics with my son who is 5 years old. He won't pay attention to learn the sound of letters. This software really caught his attention, he sits there for hours and practice. Those games are very cute and helpful. After two days play, he already made a lot of progress. It takes off some pressures from me. We love it! ... 5 stars (A good value for the money) - My daughter enjoyed this program. She learned a lot of different words. The animations are clever and she enjoyed completing the spaceship to get Quixel home. This is a good program to build a foreign language vocabulary. 1 stars (Beware!) - I thought this would be good for my students until I tried it out myself. First I tried the Italian. When I discovered that they translated "potato chips" as "microchips", I was surprised. In telling time, they expressed the correct feminine plural but displayed the incorrect masculine singular "il due" for 2:00. Now for the French...I learned that "potato chips" were "eclats" as in "paint chips". Wrong chips both times folks - and good luck in a restaurant! I stopped there. It's a shame they never got a native speaker to check it before releasing this as an educational item. They did get native speakers to read aloud the vocab lists however. That's the one-star part. ...
