5 stars (The Best) - I've seen a lot of health care texts and this one is by far the best book of its kind. Very current and thorough coverage of all aspects of health care delivery. This book really shows you how all of the components of the health care system fit together. The author has done a remarkable job and all students in health care and health administration need to read this book. KUDOS!!!! 1 stars (Fluffy) - This book is near 600 pages, but it could be condensed to 300 easily: by cutting back on some simplistic flow charts and over-explanation. Maybe the goal was to make the book readable for the high school level, but I didn't find its style or level appropriate for a graduate (MBA) textbook. One further annoyance was the authors' shameless and open promotion of socialized health care. A more balanced take would give the authors greater credibility. 4 stars (Good introduction to the American health care system) - The book is a good basic introduction to the American health care system. If you are doing advanced health policy research this book is not for you. If you are teaching a class for undergraduates (or are someone who wants to know about 'nuts and bolts' issues) this would be perfect. For what it does (basic intro), it does well but do not look for sophisticated analysis here. ... 5 stars (Essential clinical reference) - This book is an essential clinical reference for both NP students and practicing NPs. It is organized in an easy to use format. It contains up-to-date information on diagnosing and managing common illnesses seen in both children and adults. It also contains thorough information on health promotion. I would recommend this book to all students and new clinicians. 5 stars (Best Book For Practice) - we use this book in our practice as a policy book for mid-level providers. 5 stars (Invaluable Reference Tool) - As a nurse practitioner student, things were much easier once I discovered this reference. As a new graduate nurse practitioner, I KNOW I couldn't survive without this reference. With the focus on evidence-based practice, a provider MUST follow true, tested, approved guidelines to stay up-to-date and free of trouble! Worth every dime and then some. ... 1 stars (This book is for SMS 2.0) - I'm very dissappointed this book this book is not clearly listed as an SMS 2.0 book. Had I known it was for version 2.0 I would not have purchased it. I needed a book to help me with SMS 2003 patch deployment and this book has nothing in it to help me. It has only 19 pages which talk about SMS 2003 in a chapter called "Things to Come". 5 stars (Awesome book!) - Microsoft Systems Managment Server is a huge product. This book takes the software distribution mechanism and breaks it down into manageable chunks so that anyone can become a software distribution expert. With the need to distribute patches to keep the environment secure, this book is extremely timely. Learn how software delivery works, how to build packages, how to distribute packages successfully, and how to troubleshoot. This book can seriously take your distribution percentages through the roof. 5 stars (Awesome book!) - Who would have thought that software delivery for Microsoft SMS would take up an entire book! This book goes into some serious detail about every aspect of the software delivery process -- from creating packages and generating advertisements, to choosing repackaging technologies, to troubleshooting the entire process. No stone is left unturned. If you need to raise your software delivery success levels, this is how to do it. ...
