The Call of the Wild by Jack London is regarded to be one of his best works. The central character in the novel is a dog named Buck, who after being abducted from a Californian judge is sold to a sled owner and forced to live under brutal conditions. The story eventually leads to Buck becoming the leader of a wolf pack.
