Psychology- The Brain- The Person- The World- Second Edition Description:
Psychology: The Brain, The Person, The World, Second Edition review: 5 stars (Excellent Introduction to the Field of Psychology) - I had this book as a textbook for my intro to psych class. It is a well written text. Unlike most textbooks, it is not dry or boring. This book uses examples for it's concepts, such as Tiger Wood's golf game and Alice in Wonderland. It also has diagrams, definitions, graphs, tables, and mini-experiments to back up and sum up the text. In short, it is set up well for any type of learner. The text covers many areas of psychology, including the history, the brain, sense and perception, consciousness, learning, emotion, and disorders. I would definitely recommend it for a class or an ambitious solo reader.
