5 stars (This book is all you need for a FCC Amateur Technicians License) - I passed the Technician's exam only missing 1 of 35 questions with this book. The book is also an excellent source for reference. The complete question set for the Technician's exam is presented with references to page numbers explaining the answers. Other books focus on "memorizing" the test questions. This book promotes understanding the subject matter while studying for the exam. Must have book for all preparing for the Amateur Technician's License Exam. 5 stars (Just the "ticket"!!!) - This book is well written. I just got my "ticket", so it obviously works as intended. I will also keep this book as a reference for the years to come. This book is highly recommended for anyone seeking their first Ham license. 4 stars (A good book but not simple.) - I brought this book as a study guide to help get my Australian ham radio license. While this book has all the information needed, and a dedicated student could get their license I found it to be structured in a way that did not allow me to read it easily. Maybe modern magazines have a lot to answer for but I really like large diagrams in colour, with text structured (with headings etc) so that I can skim rapidly over it and then come back to fill in what I have missed. This book rather put me off geting my license. ...
