When it comes to file management in Windows, WinNc 3000 Professional is packed with features. WinNc 3000 Professional only comes in one flavor now, and that flavor is fully loaded, sort of like a deluxe Mercedes.

WinNc has all the makings of an excellent replacement for Windows Explorer. It features an attractive, independent double-pane view (selecting a path or file in one pane has no effect on the other) and offers drag-and-drop support for moving files between the panes. Lots of tool buttons and menu items provide access to standard file-management methods. You can easily format, copy, move, delete, view, and edit files. In addition, WinNc supports file splitting, encryption, and compression using the standard ZIP format. WinNc also supports all other regular compression standards. Use it to create shortcuts, compare and synchronize folders, back up important data, read network drives, search for files, compare text files, split and merge large files and much more. You can even use it to handle all of your file transfers via FTP. WinNc can rip audio cds directly to mp3, using a cddb server for naming mp3s. An internal text viewer, editor and graphic file viewer are also part of the package.
